22-karat gold medal commemorating the opening of the Saudi-Bahrain Causeway. A commemorative gold medal embodying the history of Gulf relations, issued to mark the opening of the Saudi-Bahrain Causeway in 1986 AD (1406 AH).

The obverse of the medal features a portrait of King Fahd bin Saud and Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, above which is an inscription of the Quranic verse: "And hold fast, all together, to the rope of Allah, and be not divided." At the bottom is the inscription "Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency."


The reverse of the medal bears the inscription "Opening of the Saudi-Bahrain Causeway" at the top, an image of the bridge with the opening date in Hijri and Gregorian calendars in the center, written in Arabic and English, and the inscription "Saudi-Bahrain Causeway" in English at the bottom.
